Golf at La Manga
La Manga Club is renowned for its three top quality courses which have hosted many European tournaments over the years. Whether you a playing a single round during your holiday break or if you are organising a golfing holiday then there is no better place than to play at La Manga Club.
The North Course is more a test or accuracy than power with tight fairways and large greens. The views on certain holes are spectacular overlooking the Mar Menor. There are plenty of water hazards and a challenge to every level of golfer.
The South Course, re developed over the last couple of years, is a Par 72 with large sand and water hazards. Tight fairways and undulating holes make this a highly challenging course therefore handicap certificates are required to play.
The West Course is a Par 73 with trees and ravines in abundance especially on the first 9 holes where power play needs to be replaced with precision. The back nine are hilly and have their fair share of water and natural hazards. An interesting course but it is hilly and a buggy is good choice.
If you are looking to improve your game while at La Manga Club, the Golf Academy can offer you group lessons, private lessons, video analysis and other coaching facilities. There is a driving range with 60 bays, indoor teaching studio and chipping and putting practice areas.
The Par 47 Pitch and Putt is less challenging than the full courses but situated next to Hacienda del Golf it offers opportunities to practice and also for younger members of the family to play. There are bunkers, water features and other hazards. If you have watch ‘Superstars’ in the past, then this is where they take the pitch and putt challenge.
Mini golf can also be found at the Junior Club/Tennis Centre and also at Las Lomas. These are very similar to crazy golf and can be played by anyone on the resort. For more details ask at the Tennis Centre and at Las Lomas reception.
